With a combined 35 years in practice, 7 Healthy Roots founders, Amy Holaday, R.N., FNLP and Sarah Lawrence, FNLP, CHHC, created AIR to be your first step to reduce inflammation and help your body break the patterns of stress and imbalance.

I've done a cleanse before, how is this different?
AIR is a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle program designed to help optimize your health, top to bottom. While cleanse protocols can get results by removing gluten, dairy and sugar, restricting calories and flooding the body with water that approach is not balanced or sustainable and doesn’t address the roots of imbalance.
I'm stressed and already feel like I'm short on time... what is the time commitment and is AIR actually doable?
Are there recipes and meal plans to follow?
Some of our favorite recipes are included in AIR and we’re excited to share them with you! Though we provide recipes and sample meal plans, you’re not required to follow them.
We don’t want you to be reliant on recipes and meal plans long term! You may be surprised how easy it is to build healthy meals intuitively as you explore our recipes and example meal plans – they teach you how to build a plate without the stress of spending hours in the kitchen (unless that brings you joy!). Plus, the AIR food list is like an anti-inflammatory cheat sheet for the grocery store! We want you to be able to create meals that you like and AIR will show you how flexible and simple healthy eating can be!
How long do I have access to the AIR course?
You have lifetime access to the AIR materials after purchase. We recommend that you download the guides and resources and save them on your computer or print them for your personal reference.
AIR coaching and the Momentum Membership community and resources are yours for the duration of your monthly membership.
Are there additional purchases? supplements? Testing?
Why is it best to start with the AIR program instead of working first with a Functional Medical Doctor and getting lots of expensive functional health tests upfront?
Doctors can be incredible partners on a healing journey! In our experience working with Functional Medical Doctors, we noticed that the cost of functional health tests was hundreds to thousands for patients, and no matter what the test results, we started with the same anti-inflammatory, gut healing, detoxifying, blood sugar balancing and stress reducing nutrition and lifestyle steps.
Think of it like building a solid foundation before you build a house or letting muddy water settle and clear before you put your feet in the water!
By choosing AIR first, you save money by skipping the expensive testing, begin taking the reins of your health right away. You learn and implement the essential steps for rebuilding your health, all at a very, very low cost.
We find that 80% of clients resolve their symptoms when they complete AIR fully (6-8 weeks). For clients who have lingering symptoms, we share recommendations and continuing support options.
What is the difference between working with Functional Nutrition Practitioners and Functional Medical Doctors?
Functional Medical Doctors generally rely on expensive testing and supplementation to guide your treatment. They follow up with you periodically to see if you are following the plan, which may also include nutrition and lifestyle instructions.
Functional Nutritionists are like detectives and guides working in partnership with you, teaching you to understand what’s behind your symptoms and what supports you need to function optimally, reduce inflammation, and build health.
Instead of solving for symptoms or swapping supplements for prescription band-aid’s, Functional Nutritionists hold the container of the whole person and holistically guide you to better health.
Working with your FNLP, you’ll learn to assess what is and isn’t working for you, receive recommendation for shifts and strategies and track your progress so you can see your results.
Functional Nutritionists teach you how to become healthy, empowered, take care of your nutrition, lifestyle, gut health and detox, and not need us anymore.
Is this all DIY or is there actual 1:1 support?
While AIR is an online group program that can be done DIY, science (and our clinical experience) shows that people get better results with community, support and accountability.
We encourage you to
- join the private FB group to connect with other participants.
- join us for live Q&A’s for more personalized support. If your schedule doesn’t jive with our live session times, you can send us a message or post in the private FB group and we’ll be sure to address your questions.
If you have complex medical concerns or need deeper support, we do offer 1 on 1 coaching and would be happy to chat with you about options and costs. We find that most people do great with the group support in AIR though, so consider starting with the group and get a feel for the support that’s built in!
